Halesi Mahadev is a tri-religious pilgrimage and tourist destination located in Khotang district, formerly known as Pashupatinath. Pilgrims and tourists from all over the world, including Nepal, India, China and Bhutan, visit Halesi Mahadev, a holy place of pilgrimage for Hindu Buddhists and Kirats. Located at a distance of 220 km from Kathmandu, this place can be reached by road and by helicopter. The holy land can be reached from the capital via the BP Highway to Khurkot and from Khurkot via the Mid-Hills Highway.
